Intent.
The automaton was a seven month passion project built in the free time. The sculpture consists of an animated figure that performs a classic teleportation illusion moving the heart from his chest to the table in front.
Making it.
The sculpture was built without any 3D software. Materials consisted of MDF, Steel, Acrylic and various hardware components.
Ideation.
The design involved Initial sketching and prototype models to proof out the mechanisms using LEGO bricks and cardboard mockups.
