Manufacturing Design.
One of my primary responsibilities at Valhaden Studios is developing manufacturing solutions for products for the small-pet–focused startup, ClaraBeara. My time is divided between CAD work in SolidWorks/Fusion 360 and getting my hands dirty machining the tooling on a Haas mill.
Injection Molding.
Currently I am developing the injection mold solution for a patent pending plastic product that I cannot share at this moment. Consisting of mold cavity design, machining, polishing and testing. Stay tuned for more info. . .
Punch/Stamping Design.
ClaraBeara’s launch product the Bag Catch, is manufactured using a custom set of procedural stamping dies that I designed and machined and hardened myself. Because the Bag Catch features narrow details, it was a challenge developing the proper sequences of punches.
The BagCatch takes a five step punching/stamping process.
